Martijn Garritsen, conocido en el panorama artístico como Martin Garrix, es un DJ y productor holandés que ha conseguido convertirse en una referencia dentro de la música house. Nació en 1996 y con tan solo 8 años cogió su primera guitarra. No obstante, fue la actuación de Tiësto en los Juegos Olímpicos de Atenas la que marcó un punto de inflexión en su carrera, motivándole a convertirse en DJ.

En 2012 Martin Garrix lanzó "ITSA", su primera creación oficial. En julio de ese mismo año firmó con Spinnin' Records, el sello discográfico con el que posteriormente conocería la fama. De hecho, no tendría que esperar mucho para ver consagrado el primero de sus éxitos.

El 17 de junio de 2013 salió a la luz "Animals", un single que no tardó en comenzar a sonar en las radios más importantes de Europa y que obtuvo más de 700 millones de visitas en Youtube. También en 2013 Garrix consiguió posicionarse en el número 1 de Beatport, una tienda online especializada en música electrónica, con el remix de "Project T". En 2015, Garrix rompió su vínculo con Spinnin' Records y creó su propio sello discográfico.

Desde entonces, su fama no ha hecho sino aumentar. Con una discografía que cuenta con más de 27 sencillos (entre los que destacan Animals, Wizard, Tremor, The only way is up o In the name of love) y un álbum de estudio publicado en 2016, Martin Garrix ya es un verdadero referente en el género electrónico.

En 2021 ha publicado "Greatest Hits Vol. 1" con Area21, su proyecto paralelo formado por Martin Garrix & Maejor.
